Coma Construcciones Mecánicas, S.A., was founded at the beginning of 1900 in the street Balmes number 20, in the population of Torelló (Barcelona), by Mr. Juan Coma Arboix, as mechanical workshop for the maintenance of sawmill and carpentries
From 1939 with the direction by Mr. Josep Coma Baulenes, the company began the marketing and distribution of machinery for the sector of the wood. In the year 1967, they installed the first machines of sharpened of tools for the industry of the wood, and there was founded the department of studies and projects for the manufacture of equipments for sawmills and special machinery for wood.
In July, 2002, Coma Construcciones Mecanicas, S.A., moved to the industrial estate Matabosch in Torelló to the nave with 3800 m2, placed in the street of the Ter, number 255, of Torelló, there has a permanent exhibition where the professional is able to acquire all kinds of machines and tools to work the wood, the plastic and the aluminium. In the year 2005 the company was wide her activity in the sector of plastic and aluminium.
The territorial area of action(performance) of Coma Construcciones Mecanicas, S.A., includes the whole national territory and is exporting in countries of the European Community, America of the South, Africa and Asia.
